We are currently seeking candidates for an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer at our Manchester, TN facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
# This position is responsible for leading the efforts to prevent accidents, injuries and illnesses throughout Batesville Casket Company’s Manchester facility.
# Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT and EPA
# Provide the facility with professional guidance for the effective administration of their Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
Requirements
# Bachelors degree in the engineering field
# Demonstrated successful leadership and guidance of Environmental, Health and Safety management and interaction with all levels of management.
# 2+ years environmental and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
# Comprehensive understanding of environmental, health and safety management practices, principles, procedures and nomenclature.
# Working knowledge of domestic Federal, State and local environmental, health and safety regulations, ordinances, practices and requirements.
# Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
# Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
# Working knowledge of workers’ compensation case management practices.
