I am experienced in funeral home management and pre- need sales and am a licensed insurance agent in Georgia (705503) and Tennessee (1013486). Education
I studied Business Administration through LaSalle Ext. University in Chicago, IL. I graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL in 1977.
Work Experience
My last position was an Administrator/Controller in a multi-location funeral home & cemetery combo. I was responsible for financial reconciliation of accounts payable & receivable, payroll, customer care issues, initiating new sales program both pre-need & at-need, employee relations, capital purchases, fleet maintenance, liability insurance, cemetery sales etc.
I have served as an embalmer, funeral director, funeral home manager and multiple locations general manager. I have been personally involved with the following:
-Funeral directing, counseling and merchandise selection
-Multiple location management and interstate shipping
-Employee relations, hiring, termination, scheduling, payroll and benefits
-Life insurance and pre-need sales and the prosecution of an unethical agent
-Marketing, setup/display of all types of funeral and cremation merchandise such as
flowers, monument/marker display and cemetery sales programs.
-Community relations and presentations of funeral service and pre-need to groups.
-Embalming and extensive cosmetic restoration.
-Building, grounds, fleet maintenance, bookkeeping, computerized A/P & A/R.
